Cookies
Melokta’s own code sets no cookies. The only exception is Google Analytics: it is only loaded if you choose “Accept” in the bar at the bottom of the site, and it sets these cookies: _ga (tells visitors apart, 2 years) and _ga_<id> (keeps session state, 2 years). This data is processed by Google LLC and may be transferred to servers abroad, including in the USA. Advertising, Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off; no social media plug-ins are used.
In addition, cookieless aggregate visit statistics that do not identify anyone (Vercel Web Analytics) run from the site’s own address and store nothing on your device. If “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control is on in your browser, neither is loaded and the bar is not shown. If the hosting service ([To be completed: hosting provider]) uses its own technical cookies, they should be listed here; this has not been verified yet.
Local storage (cookie-like technologies)
The records below are kept in your browser for the feature you use and are not sent to Melokta. Some may contain personal data (for example a student code or a group name), so we do not classify them as “not personal data”. Duration: localStorage and IndexedDB records stay until you delete them; sessionStorage records are cleared when the tab is closed.

Consent and changing your choice
The local records above are only used for functions you ask for (lesson progress, activities you save, the theme and language you choose); no consent is asked for them. Google Analytics only runs with your explicit consent: nothing is loaded before you choose, “Decline” is as visible as “Accept”, and declining does not limit any feature of the site. Your choice is kept in this browser in the notiva.consent.v1 record. You can change it at any time with the button below; if you withdraw consent, Google Analytics stops and the _ga cookies are deleted. The site is aimed at children: for anyone under 18, a parent or teacher should make the choice. A lawyer should confirm this assessment.
Deleting the records
On the My data page you can delete them section by section or all at once, after downloading a JSON backup if you want. Your browser’s “clear site data” setting also deletes all of them.
